UKIP at the Appeal Court Today

Today, the unbelievable situation in the Appeal Court, is the consideration as to whether UKIP should pay in excess of £750,000 or not.

This situation could have been avoided had Nigel Farage MEP and Andrew Smith (the then Treasurer) co-operated with the Electoral Commission rather than make them their enemy.

We have little doubt that The Court of Appeal will legislate aganst UKIP and this could be the end of the Party.

We shall know very soon. Farage and Smith should resign immediately should the judgement go against UKIP, but it may be too late to prevent the Party going into Bankruptcy.

Hi,

UKIP were found to be still guilty of the offence it would seem, thus one assumes they will have been liable for the costs of the entire case, hoever by using aspects of EU law and the EU style Supreme Court which is far from supreme being answerable to The EU - UKIP thus had the size of the 'Forfeit' reduced to that against which UKIP railled and Farage's childish abuse of the Electoral Commission had led to an increase of the 'Forfeiture' from under £20K to over £350K.

Clearly UKIP's unprofessional behaviour led to this entire debacle as a self inflicted problem.
